- Unifying the Northeast Kingdom: It was many years ago when Governor George Aiken labeled the counties of Orleans, Essex, and Caledonia as the Northeast Kingdom. We have always been a separate place here in the NEK. We have fewer people which means we have less power in the statehouse. We need to work together as NEK citizens rather than as separate parties and I believe that I am the right person to lead this charge against the Burlington Democrats.
- Innovative Green Energy: Providing more green energy is a must in this state, but we have to be responsible. Wind towers are a great thing for creating energy but destroying a mountaintop to do it somewhat defeats the purpose. We need to provide incentives for private people moving to green energy. We need to diversify beyond just solar and wind.
- Repairing our infrastructure: Burlington puts their wind towers on our mountains and forces their legislation on us, but when it comes times to pay for repairs in the NEK we don't see a penny. I will hold people to task and get our roads and bridges repaired here so that business can come back to the Northeast Kingdom.
- Internet Access: You can't run a business these days if you don't have access to the internet. While legislators from the western half of the state are clamoring for faster internet speed some in the Northeast are just asking for internet to begin with. I will lead NEK legislators to bring this issue to the forefront of Vermont politics.
- Bring Common Sense Back to School: People my age all have one thing in common, a lack of understanding of how the world works. We're teaching our youth skills they may never use but we're not teaching them how to pay their taxes or how to cook simple meals. If we can teach our young people these skills we will see a reduced number of people applying for assistance programs which will save us money in the long run.
